Based on the famous helmet discovered at the Gjermundbu farm in Norway in 1943, this reproduction represents the best surviving example of a Viking age helmet. The original helmet has been dated to the second half of the 10th century and is one of the most important pieces of viking armour discovered to date.

This helmet is hand made from 18 gauge mild steel and follows the distinctive spectacle-style design that make this helmet so recognizable. Whether worn as a part of a Viking outfit or for display this helmet really captures the appearance of a warrior's helmet from the closing years of the Viking age.
