The Pexto 982 Bench Plate is a substantial bench-mounted forming plate designed for working and refining sheet metal. Its large, machined working surface and multiple stake pockets provide a solid and versatile platform for a wide range of traditional metalworking applications.
 
Pexto stakes are the same tools I have personally relied on throughout my career. I have used these same stakes for more than 25 years with some of the stakes I own being over 100 years old and still being used every day. They have proven themselves to be exceptionally useful tools that will remain in service for generations.
 
The 982 is an excellent addition to a traditional metalworking shop, providing a large, solid working surface while allowing different forming stakes to be mounted directly into the bench plate. For armourers, this provides a convenient way to work with a variety of stakes from a fixed position, but its usefulness extends well beyond armour making. The 982 can be used for traditional sheet-metal work, automotive restoration, architectural metalwork, fabrication, and other forming applications.
 
The 982 is manufactured from cast iron and features a machined face. It measures 30 inches by 8 inches and has multiple stake pockets for mounting forming stakes. The bench plate can be mounted directly into a workbench or used with the optional Pexto 985 Stand.
